My work in The RAW Gallery

I selected the wall space next to the fire alarm as it is a damaging sound source itself. This could work in my favour as to obvious connections in the theme. Alas it could also backfire where the work takes on a chameleon like characteristic by blending in with the alarm. I have noticed a few missing from the stand in the week it has been installed.

So I spaced the three images evenly apart and over laying a vector based waveform of the grinder.mp3 using a converter webpage.

Interior Art Greyscale

I used illustrator to create these vector based gray scale images from photography's so as to save time. They are 16 colour grey scales and shall be linked with a vector based depiction of the grinder.mp3

I stacked up a few copies of the wavefile to give a heavier weight to the line.

Warning Sign

Created a warning sign triangle and had a play with the wavefile brush, this triangle I like but I need to work out how best to use the wavefile.

My Vector based brush for illustrator seems to work well.

Gradient Colour

My Grinder Vector with a gradient colour applied and a sketchy style brush. I like the colour as it implies the danger more.

Practical Studies of the Waveform

Playing with a vector based waveform from Grinder.mp3 file. The Sound coming from the dangerous source, then into the ear, lastly damaging the sensitive hairs of the inner ear.

These images may be used as interior information in my booklet idea.

Critque 3

Critque 3 went well enough. I think the class isn't to worried about helping each other bar a couple of students.

I really like the way a poster is one side yet it folds into a useful brochure.

Critque 2

Deafness 101 was my second critique. We went with a more questions and answers approach for this round. For the most part things went well.

The critique was useful in some cases, but very vague from the majority. I guess people had to warm up to the idea of how it works.
